This is a Quarter Horse Racing Program for Two-Year-Old Foals of 2001 by Participating Stallions since the program was founded. New Stallions may be added as their ONE-TIME LIFETIME FEE of $2,500 is paid. See Eligible Stallions list.

 If a payment is missed, that payment must be doubled to remain eligible.

20% will be deducted from the purse and added to the Championship, in addition to the $25,000 Added and Stallion Funds for the 2003 Program.

5% will be deducted from Purse and held in escrow for the 2004 Black Gold Derby ($10,000 Added).

STALLION AWARDS: 5% deducted from purse. Pays 10 places in Division Finals and Championship.

Interest will be added to the Purse.

GUARANTEED: A minimum of three $25,000 qualifying distances (300­330­350 Yards). Depending upon total nomination funds, a maximum of five $20,000 qualifying distances may be run, which could include 250 and/or 400 yards.

Every eligible horse may run at one or all distances. Timed trials will be run in each division, at each distance. The fastest horses in each division will compete in the final of their division. Horses will qualify for the Championship Trials from each distance, for example:

A: If One Division is run at each distance ­ all Finalists, who have not previously qualified, will qualify.

B: If Two Divisions are run at each distance ­ the 5 fastest from Final of each Division, who have not previously qualified, will qualify.

C: If Three Divisions are run at each distance ­ the 4 fastest from Final of each Division, who have not previously qualified, will qualify.

The total number of qualifying distances (if more than the three guaranteed), and the number of divisions at each distance, is dependent upon total nomination funds after the final sustaining payment is made.

PURSE DISTRIBUTION FOR DIVISION FINAL:

1st­30%; 2nd­20%; 3rd­12%; 4th­10%; 5th­8%; 6th­6%; 7th­5%; 8th­4%; 9th-3%; 10th-2%.

PURSE DISTRIBUTION FOR 2003 BLACK GOLD FUTURITY CHAMPIONSHIP:

1st-50%; 2nd-17%; 3rd-12%; 4th-7%; 5th-4%; 6th-3%; 7th-2.5%; 8th-2%; 9th-1.5%; 10-1%.

15% of Gross Purse (excluding Added Money) will be deducted for Advertising and Administrative expenses. Blue Ribbon Downs reserves the right to promote the Black Gold Futurity in any manner deemed appropriate. Blue Ribbon Downs reserves the right to increase added money or otherwise amend these conditions. Awards and Trophies are compliments of Blue Ribbon Downs.
